A Letter From the Owner

Dear future client and friend,

I'm a general contractor committed to giving my clients the best construction experience possible. Whether it's a commercial remodel, a cabin renovation or a new build, I strive to deliver the highest quality job on every project — large or a very small repair.

Growing up, I was always building and changing things around my parents' home. In 1991 I started working with my friend James and his father, building an addition on their home, re-roofing it and remodeling the inside. I later spent time in Puerto Rico, where I did many home repairs in the wake of the hurricanes that hit the island every year.

When I came home at the end of 1995, I went to work as a hod tender for David Howard Masonry. After three months of hard work, Dave put me "on the wall" laying brick, block and stone. In 1996 I started college while working full time, and passed the state general contractor exam at 22. To earn the foreman experience required for my license, I joined Baldwin and Gagon Construction, running framing and footings crews and training many builders in framing homes and offices.

In August 1999 I graduated from Utah Valley State College in Orem with a degree in Business and Construction Management — and that same month I went out on my own. Timpanogos Builderzz, Inc. was my first company, and I still run it today, along with our dba, Goff Custom Homes and Cabins.

Hands-on in every trade

I've built throughout Utah and Eastern Idaho. My largest framing job was a pitched-truss roof over a building larger than a football field in American Fork in 2000. Over the years I've personally done footings, foundations, basement slabs, exterior flatwork, framing, asphalt and metal roofing, siding, soffit and fascia, Hardie plank, cultured stone, brick, insulation, drywall and texture, custom finish carpentry, custom tile, laminate and hardwood flooring, and chain-link, wood and vinyl fencing.

That experience means I can build or remodel an entire home or commercial space to the highest standard — and when one of my sub-contractors handles a trade, I make sure they're doing the best job possible.
